Top 5 Gifts from Christmas

Although I’m a day late, Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope you all had a great holiday and got to spend it with the people you love. I celebrated Christmas at my parents house with my brother, sister, brother-in-law and my two nieces. Get togethers at my house consist of lots of dancing, loud music, loud voices, good food, laughter and alcohol.

I’m always so grateful for the gifts that I receive and I’m always so excited to look over all my presents after I open them. This Christmas there were 5 gifts in particular that got me really excited, so I wanted to share them with all of you!

1. Books on books on books

I jokingly named this Christmas as the year of the books (and socks) because I received so many, but I am so excited to read all of them! I really enjoy reading and last month I read 5 books, but this month I have been slacking. The books I got include: The me journal, You Are A Badass Every Day by Jen Sincero, Unfu*k Yourself by Gary John Bishop, Everything Happens For A Reason by Mira Kirshenbaum, Be Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert, and Practical Princess by Elika Gibbs. I’ve spoken about You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero, so I’m most excited about her book. Have any of you read any of these books? Thoughts?

2. Sony A5100

So with the start of my blog & Instagram, I mentioned to my parents that I would like a nice camera to take my pictures and really upgrade my website, and boy did they deliver! I got my camera a few days before Christmas and I’m in love! I know that I am going to get a lot of use out of this camera and I can’t wait to take my photos to the next level! Have any of you used this camera before??

As you guys already know, I am super into skincare and really like to invest my time and money into my routine, so I was thrilled to receive this nice travel set from my sister! The set includes: Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion, Cleansing Balm, Brightening + Vitamin C Facial Oil, and Balancing + Charcoal Facial Mask. I’m interested in clean beauty and clean skincare and hoping to make the move toward those products, so this is going to be a nice chance to try some products out and see how they work with my skin! Any of you out there into Beautycounter?

4. Levi Sherpa Trucker Jacket

You have no idea how excited I was when I opened up this gift! I have been on the hunt for a good denim jacket for a while now, and one day I saw this at Macy’s and tried it on and LOVED it. I didn’t purchase it because of a lack of money, but I can’t wait until it warms up enough so I can wear this bad boy!

5. Kristin Ess Curling Iron

If you aren’t familiar with who Kristin Ess is, she is a hair stylist that works on people like Jenna Dewan, Lauren Conrad, and Lucy Hale. I love the looks that she creates and she also just seems like a super cool, down to earth person. She recently came out with a line of hair tools that you can pick up from your local Target. I received the 1 1/4″ curling iron and it is so nice. I currently have a Hot Tools wand that I use to curl my hair, so learning how to use an iron with a clip will be a bit different, but I’m so excited to play with it! Once I get the hang of it, I will definitely give you guys a review!

What products did you get that you are most excited about?? Do you have any of the products I mentioned above and if yes, tell me your thoughts!!

I hope you all have a great Wednesday and enjoy your short work week!!
